We absolutely loved staying at The Saddlery. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious and the location is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful and Sam does an excellent job managing everything. He goes above and beyond to help in any way. We will definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the Saddlery for six weeks in September/October 2025 and LOVED it. It was fantastic. Sam and the team at the Saddlery run a great place and are very friendly and always quick to answer questions and help out with anything. Our unit had everything we needed, including washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen, allowing us to make many meals in our unit -- which we often ate out on the rooftop deck overlooking the lake. Our unit was on the 3rd floor with a gorgeous view of the lake. There's a gym (also with a view of the lake!) in the basement, and a secure bike locker area, which was great since we rode our bikes everywhere. The location couldn't be better-- we walked or biked to many restaurants, the Farmer's Market, everything on campus, the grocery store, and more. They cleaned our unit weekly, and if we ever ran out of anything (towels, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc), there's an amenity closet on the main floor where we could easily restock. It was a perfect home away from home and other than the fear that too many people will love it and "our" unit won't be available to us next time we want to book it, we absolutely 100% recommend staying at the Saddlery! It's the best!

This hotel exceeded all our expectations! The location is absolutely perfect. We could walk to all the amazing things downtown Madison offers – the farmers market, fabulous restaurants, State Street shopping, and the UW – within minutes, yet the hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The facilities are truly exceptional, with tastefully decorated and modern rooms, a full fitness center, a rooftop deck, and beautiful views of Lake Monona. And the attention to detail in maintaining the facilities was evident – everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. Sam and the rest of the staff were always friendly and accessible if we needed anything. We couldn't have asked for a better combination of location and amenities. This hotel is perfect for both leisure and business travelers. We'll definitely be returning!

A Perfect Blend of Luxury, Comfort, and a Stunning Lakeview My stay at Saddlery Madison was exceptional from start to finish. I booked the 1‑bedroom King Suite, and it truly felt like an upscale condominium rather than a typical hotel room. The suite is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a full kitchen that made cooking effortless, an en suite office perfect for remote work, and a full washer and dryer right inside the unit (personal laundry room)— a huge advantage for both short and long stays. The king bedroom is serene and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to unwind. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful Lakeview from my room. Waking up to that peaceful, scenic backdrop added a level of calm and luxury that made the entire experience feel elevated. Saddlery Madison strikes the ideal balance between privacy, comfort, and convenience. Whether you’re staying for a few nights or settling in long‑term, it’s the perfect home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel rooms in Madison were scarce on this random Wednesday in April. The Saddlery was a perfect option. Two bedrooms, plus a pullout couch. Having a kitchen was amazing. We definitely use the oven. Suggestions… Maybe include a pizza plan pan or a cookie sheet and more k cups for the coffee pot! :)

Saddlery is a cozy spot for a visit to downtown Madison with lakeside views. Very walkable to the capital but also a quieter part of the downtown area. Rooms were clean and service was fantastic. There was plenty of cooking utensils in the unit and I was able to cook nice meals in my unit during my stay

I had a wonderful stay in the one-bedroom lake-view suite. The suite was beautiful, spotless, and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything I needed for my stay, and the lake views, especially from the rooftop, were absolutely stunning. The communication from the team was excellent. When I needed to extend my stay by an extra night, they made the process seamless by combining my reservations so I didn't have to check out and move rooms. The check-in instructions and directions for accessing the building and amenities were clear and easy to follow. A couple of minor things to note: the high ceilings add a lot of character to the space, but they don't do much to dampen sound from neighboring units. I could hear heavy footsteps from the guests upstairs and ended up using earplugs at night. Also, the shower didn't get quite as hot as I prefer. Overall, these were small issues compared to the many positives. The location, views, cleanliness, amenities, and outstanding customer service made for a great stay, and I would happily stay here again.
